We are now accepting pre-orders for the Utility Shirt, designed by Resolute's Hayashi at FAR EAST MANUFACTURING.
Reservations are open until 1:00 PM on August 18th.
The model is the Utility Shirt, which was adopted by the US military around the same time as these Utility Pants.
This is a reproduction of a 1950s model with no cuffs and barrel sleeves.
The fabric used is back satin with strong weft unevenness, and the dyeing is done using sulfur dye.
This sulfur dye is resistant to water and rain, has deep color penetration, and brings out the luster of natural fibers, making it a dyeing method that is not often used these days.
All sewing is done in Japan, at a factory known for its meticulous stitching, but to achieve the perfect look, we visited the factory multiple times and went through trial and error before completing this garment.
The details include chest pockets on both sides, with squared edges, and the darts on the front have been serged to replicate the original stitching used to secure the edges of the fabric.
In addition, the hem is not straight, but slopes slightly downward in the front, a subtle detail that has been faithfully reproduced.
It can be paired with T-shirts, sweatshirts, shirts, and henleys, and is also a great outer layer for Resolute and INCOTEX.
The more you wear it, the more the details will develop and the more it will change its appearance. This is a Utility Shirt from FAR EAST MANUFACTURING.
